We will be looking for members of the following committees at the start of the 2024-2025 school year! Please consider becoming a member of one of the following:
Nominating
- Collecting names of candidates for elections
- Helping get word out about election vacancies and dates
- Managing ballots
Negotiating
- Collect data and information to help inform our next bargaining year
- Keep record and notes of important needs for different units
- Participate in the negotiating process as applicable and when needed
Grievance
- Helping decide whether a grievance is able to be fought (i.e. we have contractual reason to fight it)
- May require unexpected meetings after school (grievances are unexpected and require urgent attention to meet timelines per our contract — Notice of meetings will be given at least 24 hours ahead of time).
Social
- Help manage correspondences
- Plan social events
- Help create swag
Friends of Ed Committee
- Plan and organize our annual Friends of Education dinner
Sick Bank
- Help manage sick bank requests
- Work as a committee to decide whether requests meet the criteria
- Approve/deny requests
Maria Osborn Scholarship Committee
- Review scholarship applications from High School seniors
- Determine the recipients of the scholarship
- One member will present the scholarship at the Senior Signing Day (if able)
